Recently, I deactivated my Facebook account for being sooo sick of other people's posts about their so-called G-O-A-L-S. For everyday that I got to open my account, I see photos of Nike and Adidas shoes, trendy clothes, Mac lipsticks, good looking pizzas, fries and burgers, a big fat wallet, even a girl's long legs, big booty, ombre hair and perfect eyebrows, having a caption saying those are their goals. Hmmm, what do you think? I don't know if they are just dreaming simple for pursuing material things or they're just going with the trend. Though it's nice having fancy things for a couple of days, having them as your top priority, isn't worth it. The true meaning of goals in our generation is getting shallow. It's like we're just aiming for (material and temporary) things that we think are worth boasting for. Forgive me for sounding a bit harsh and negative, but I speak truth.

So I decided to list down my 2016 goals that for me are worth pursuing. I'm sharing this to you so during the days when I feel like I haven't done a move to reach these goals, I'll just remember that I posted this publicly, meaning my pride and ego are at risk, and by that I think I'd be more likely to take an initiative and follow this list.

Passion goals:

  • Improve and update my blog more often.
  • Upgrade my camera (hopefully to Fujifilm) to give you more improved photos.
  • Set foot to at least 3 new destinations in the Philippines.
  • Save a minimum of Php 5,000, enough to hold a feeding program for dogs and cats.
  • Master at least 30 songs that can be played in guitar and ukulele.
  • Finish at least 3 fictional books.
  • Learn to cook at least 3 viands.

Personal goals:

  • Survive and understand my 3rd and 4th year subjects.
  • Gain at least 10 pounds (though I seriously don't know how to).
  • Have a stable income (aside from the allowance my parents give me, lol).
  • Save at least Php 15,000 for security purposes.
  • Gain more friends and travel buddies.
  • Be independent. Sustain my wants without getting a single peso from my parents.
  • Live a healthier and as much as possible, stress-free life.
  • Have a harmonious relationship with my loved ones.
  • Live a fulfilling and happy life by being adventurous and free.

Faith goals:

  • Share the Gospel to my loved ones who still doesn't know Christ well.
  • Read at least 2 religious books.
  • Live a Christ-centered life.

Happy New Year everyone!
