5 THINGS YOU SHOULD TRY DOING ALONE

Thursday, October 29, 2015

Being alone doesn't actually mean being lonely. Doing some stuff all by yourself feels so freaking good. In fact, it is the sense of independence that makes me feel okay whenever I'm sad, stressed and hating the people around me. The last few days, I've been feeling glum, so the other day, I decided to have my alone time, you know -- to unwind and loosen up. So here are some of the things I did alone (injected with some reviews) that you should try doing at least once in a while.

1. TREAT YOURSELF ON A POSH CAFE OR RESTAURANT.

The other day I dined in at Kitchen of Cakes and Coffee. I tried their Blueberry Cheesecake and Big Bad Wolf Frappe. I got intrigued by the name of the frappe that's why I ordered it. Curious kitten here! The cake has too many icing, as you can see on the photo above, the entire white part of the cake is purely icing, but what I like about it is it's not too sweet plus, it's topped with real blueberry bits. I stayed here for more than an hour, enjoyed myself and started this blog post. No doubt, cafes are one of the best places for reading, writing and deciphering!

2. SHOP FOR YOURSELF.

Or at least go window shopping, which I actually did the other day. Just let your eyes feast on the things that make your mood good.

3. GO WATCH A MOVIE ALL BY YOURSELF.

So I watched The Last Witch Hunter the other day. And yes, I got intrigued again by the title and chose to watch it over Pan. The story is good but after the movie, there's a "what if" in my mind. What if I chose to watch Pan instead? Perhaps, I'll go home satisfied? I don't know. Anybody tell me something about Pan in the comment section below if you've already watched it!

Additional things which I am planning to do  a l o n e:

4. TRAVEL. AND GET LOST!

5. DO THE UNUSUAL. BE CRAAAAZY.

Excited to put a tick mark to these two remaining things which I plan to do alone. You should try these things out and I swear, you'll know yourself more and you'll feel contented.

  1. I love this post and it's so true!

I recently commented on someones post about Paris saying I'd love to go back.. but on my own!
There's so much stigma attached to being 'a loner' but really its when you find yourself - and may even find new friends!

I love the movies one, because apparently it's unnacceptable to go alone - same as eating out!
