10 WAYS TO DE-STRESS YOURSELF

Stressed? Depressed? Feeling condemned? Well, this post is suitable for you! Everyone can experience stress, I mean, who doesn't, in a world where everything is changing fast? Just like some of the relationships out there, from boiling hot to freezing cold real quick! Sad, but it's true. Stress is everywhere. It may be in school, work, household, etc, but the catch is, will you live your life tightly hugged by stress? Hmmm, I bet you don't want that to happen. So now, TAKE A DEEP BREATH, STAY PUT, SIT BACK AND RELAX! Bid a sweet farewell to stress because here are my 10 ways on how to de-stress your beautiful self.

1. UNPLUG TO RELAX
Go, log out from all your social media accounts such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Being absent on such accounts relaxes me so much because it saves up my time from scrolling and scrolling nonsense shits so I can be more productive. Believe me, too much use of social medias can ruin your daily goals and plans and leave you unfruitful, and yeah, stressed because you haven't accomplished all your works! Also, too much exposure in radiation is bad.

2. MAKE TIME TO MEDITATE
Find an alone-time to think and reflect. Be in a comfortable and clean place where you'll not be stressed. Focus on yourself. Just let your beautiful thoughts surround you.

3. LISTEN TO GOOD MUSIC
When I say music, it simply means, pleasing and relaxing to our ears. For me, instrumental love songs are the best in de-stressing one's self! It's also helpful in clearing our minds. Aaahh, so classic! Don't you just love the vibe when an instrumental song is playing?

4. KEEP CALM AND PAMPER
Imagine yourself being massaged in a room full of scented candles, relaxing isn't it? Sometimes, you need to treat yourself, go get a massage, foot and hand spas, a facial treatment or if money is a concern, you can just get a warm bath at home. Oh, I just remember when I used to accompany my mom on Face Basics Facial Care and Spa near our place to have her facial treatment and to pamper herself. I really love the clean, province-like interior in their spa--woods everywhere! And the scent? Ooh so lovely! Definitely love the flower-like scent of their place. Plus point for the instrumental music playing on the background. That's why I don't mind waiting for my mom for hours. It's safe to say that waiting there is synonymous to chilling out. BUT, I haven't visited their place for years now, I just hope it's still the same!

5. EAT AND DRINK
"Stressed" spelled backwards is "Desserts". How cute is that? For a girl like me who's guilty of being addictive to desserts, I know this way of de-stressing is your most favorite! Probably many of you are craving for mood-boosting foods such as chocolates, cakes, cookies and cupcakes, try to eat these when you're stressed. You'll surely have the energy you want. But remember, too much of anything is bad for us! As for drinks, I advise you to have warm drinks like tea and coffee, when stressed.

6. EXERCISE DAILY
Exercise improves not only our physical aspect, but also our mental aspect. It can prolong our life because we're both physically and mentally healthy. I think even a 30-minute simple exercise, like walking or jogging will do.

7. GET ENOUGH ZZZZZ
Do you have enough sleep? I recalled when I was a child, my mom, or anyone who's taking care of me used to force me to sleep in the afternoons even though I didn't like to because I wanted to play. I even pretended to be sleeping most of the time. But now, when I badly need a sleep, I can't. Just a matter of priorities, I think. So sad, I wish I can turn back time and sleep more! Lesson learned: Sleep if you have a chance!

8. DO WHAT YOU LOVE
Do your hobbies. It may be drawing, painting, watching movies, playing games, reading books, anything that makes you happy. Me, one form of de-stressing myself is this. WRITING. SHARING. BLOGGING. It's nice to have a passion, right?

9. BE CLOSE TO NATURE AND ANIMALS
Go to a beach, climb a mountain, plant trees, play in the park, chill by the hammock and enjoy the clean air and cool breeze. Those are some of the things you can do to enjoy the nature. As to animals, I suggest you to adopt a pet, if you haven't. I currently have 3 dogs in our house, namely , Fluffy, Otso and Pilo. I love them all because they're my stress relievers. They feel you when you're sad that's why they'll lick you, stay by your side and make you feel better. Seriously, hugging them makes me feel alright.

10. PRAY AND PRAY
"Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous fall." Psalm 55:22
Familiar with the verse above? It clearly says, trust in the Lord and leave all your worries on Him. That's a proof of how God loves us so much. He will handle all our problems and sustain all our needs. Hey, don't stress yourself, because He got your back! So pray, not only on the times that you have problems. PRAY ALWAYS. PRAY ANYWHERE BECAUSE GOD IS EVERYWHERE.
